What’s been keeping me busy?
Hello, it’s been a long time! I have some great new illustration projects to share, but first I’d like to share another kind of project that I’ve been busy with — my new baby Emmett! He was born on July 5th, he is super cute and full of personality, and is the reason I’ve been absent from the blogosphere for so long. Well, his arrival was part of it, and working crazy hours to finish up another big project before he arrived was the other part! (More on that project someday when it’s published and no longer a secret!) He is turning 4 months old in a little over a week, and I can’t resist sharing some recent adorable photos of him:
Now that my maternity leave is over and I’m back to work, I can’t wait to start posting all of the fun and interesting projects I’ve been working on over the last months. Stay tuned!

Hi!! I was surprised, delighted and amazed to see our FB post about your illinstrator career! Your drawing are so imaginative, colorful, lyrical and sweet! I have a million questions about your progress to this wonderful career and living in England! I have been in England 3 times and I am so jealous! I look forward to reading your blog, checking out your books and illustrations , etc. I have been retired for 13 years and I am still addicted to children’s literature! Tell your family HELLO ! Jacquie and I have thoroughly enjoyed the delightful pictures of Emmett that your Mom has forwarded and certainly wish you well as you transition back into your very creative graphic work. Our daughter and partner will be doing the same very soon following the birth of twin girls, possibly a relief of sorts from the workout of Motherhood. Our best to you and Kamal!
