BIG flowers on Etsy
Lately I’ve been creating new prints for my Etsy shop where flowers and plants are the focus, and I’m really enjoying the process. For a long time I’ve been wanting to draw big botanical-esque pictures of imaginary flowers, ones that don’t exist in real life but share the characteristics of actual flowers.
It’s so enjoyable to just doodle for hours and see what will develop, something I so often don’t get the time to do. When it comes time to do the color work on each one, I love fooling around with color combinations to see what I can come up with that’s bright and bold but also interesting, and I’ve enjoyed it so much I do each print in at least a couple of color palettes.
