Animal Alphabet Puzzle for Cobble Hill!
I am so, so, SO excited to share this latest project, because for years I’ve been wanting to illustrate for puzzles. I love doing jigsaw puzzles myself, it’s that perfect combination of relaxing-but-kind-of-engaging that I feel I need in my life sometimes. I’ve always felt like my illustrations would be ideal for puzzles, because they’re colorful and also pretty detailed, which makes for a good jigsaw. Well finally my dream has come true, because the super lovely and wonderful to work with folks at Cobble Hill Puzzles got in touch a while back to ask if two of my illustrations could be licensed for puzzles! Eee!

The first puzzle has now come out, and it’s this very fun assemblage of ALL of my animal alphabet illustrations!

The awesome thing about this is that it’s what they call a family puzzle, which means that on one end the pieces are fairly large, making them easy for little ones to put together, while on the other end the pieces are smaller, making it challenging enough for adults to work on. GENIUS, right?? I never knew there were puzzles like this.

And we’ve already worked on it in our house, and it works out perfectly! The pieces are all unique shapes as well, which makes it more fun to work on.

This puzzle is full of colors and patterns and its printed beautifully on a slightly textured board. It also comes with a poster of the design, both useful for putting the puzzle together, and it can be used as bonus decoration when you’re done! Perfect to hang up in a kids’ room. I must admit it is a really fun experience putting together a puzzle with my own illustrations on it. I know the pictures so well, it’s a bit like I’m cheating!
If you love puzzles and you want to jigsaw with your kids, you should definitely pick this one up! It’s available from Cobble Hill direct in the US here (which seems to be the best deal!), or on Amazon US here, as well as in loads of online puzzle shops, and brick and mortar locations. I haven’t quite found it in the UK yet, probably because it’s brand new, but I will update when it becomes available. There will be a second puzzle coming out soon, and I will post about that once it’s out. Thanks so much to my contact Chantal at Cobble Hill, who was a delight to work with through and through, for making my puzzle dreams a reality! And thanks to you, dear reader, for your visit to my site, and if you get this puzzle, I hope you love it!
